The Game of 49 | Family Friendly Strategy Board Game | 2-5 Players

The bidding for turn order is the sneaky part I didn't expect, and it makes every round feel tense. We finished a full game in about 35 minutes, which is perfect for a weeknight. My 11-year-old beat me twice, so the age rating is spot on.

I've played this with 3 and then 5 people and it stays tense the whole time, especially when everyone starts bidding on the same number. Winning by getting 4 chips in a row sounds simple until someone outbids you at the last second.

The 30-minute playtime is perfect for our family game nights, even with just the two of us when the kids are asleep. It’s got that nice mix of strategy and luck that keeps everyone engaged, and the 4-in-a-row mechanic is way more tense than it sounds.
